Founded in 2007 by a finish carpenter who spent fifteen years building custom homes before realizing that most remodeling contractors didn't bring that same level of craft to renovation work. The framing was rushed. The drywall was sloppy. The trim was an afterthought.
Benchmark was built on a simple idea: remodel with the precision of new construction. Every header level. Every joint tight. Every finish coat smooth.
The name Benchmark came from the carpenter's mark — the reference point that everything else is measured against.
Today the team is twenty — project managers, carpenters, tile setters, and painters — and the work spans from Victorians in Wash Park to mid-century ranches in Lakewood to new builds in the Highlands. Still measuring twice. Still cutting once.
