About Summit

Summit Roofing was founded in 2010 by Ryan Aldridge, a second-generation roofer who grew up on ladders and learned to hand-nail before he could drive. After a decade working for a national roofing company, he saw the same pattern everywhere — rushed installs, pneumatic guns, minimum-spec materials, crews that wouldn’t come back for a callback.
Summit started with one crew and a commitment to doing it the way his father taught him: hand-nail every shingle, flash every penetration with care, never skip a layer.
Fourteen years later, Summit runs four crews across the Wasatch Front and up into the mountain communities. The work has expanded from shingles to slate to standing seam to clay. The standard hasn’t changed.
What Defines Summit
HAND-NAILED
Every shingle, every roof. Pneumatic nail guns are faster. They also overdrive nails, crack shingles, and void manufacturer warranties. We don’t own one.
FULL SYSTEM, NOT JUST SHINGLES
A roof is a system: deck, underlayment, ice barrier, flashing, ventilation, and finish material. We install the complete system to manufacturer spec, every time.
DOCUMENTED
Every Summit roof is photographed at every stage. Your roof file includes images of the deck, underlayment, flashing, and finished roof. You know exactly what’s under your shingles.
UTAH WEATHER RATED
We design every roof for Utah’s specific challenges: heavy snow loads, freeze-thaw cycling, UV exposure at elevation, and valley wind patterns. Regional knowledge matters.
